Better Start Literacy Approach Whanau Hui

Last week we invited the parents of learners in classes which are teaching reading using the Better Start Literacy approach to come and talanoa with the BSLA teachers.  We were thrilled that lots of interested whanau came along.

Mrs Nua introduced the background to the BSLA and why we have chosen to introduce it to our early learners.  She shared some of the positive results we saw with this approach last year. I then outlined what BSLA looks like in the classroom and how the whanau can support their children at home.
